All About Art

This week in Nursery we have been focusing on Art for Art Week and Open Day. Continuing our theme of The Jungle. We have also started to learn the phonic sounds of letters with the sound of the letter "Aa" and learning about the number "1". In addition to that we have been exploring feelings. This way we can learn to communicate our emotions.

Walking in the Jungle

This week we have been continuing with We're going on a Bear Hunt, finishing our story maps and even going on a sensory walk through the various scenes in the story. We started a jungle theme learning about the trees and wildlife of the rain forests. We've been especially focusing on listening to stories with increased attention and enjoying rhythm and rhyme. For Maths we have been reviewing all the shapes we have learnt so far and honing our cutting skills.

We're Going on a Bear Hunt

This week in Nursery we have been learning all about body percussion and instrument sounds, as well as exploring the different sounds from the story We're Going on a Bear Hunt. For Maths we have been exploring rectangles.
