L for Love

How appropriate that in the week of love, our focus is the sound of the letter "Ll". The children practiced their cutting skills to make Valentine cards. In Maths we did a review of shapes and added two new shapes to our repertoire - box and ball shapes. The children explored to properties of these 3D shapes and even made some of their own.
Have a great holiday everyone!

Happy Chinese New Year!

This week we learnt all about prepositions: In, out, on, under, in front and behind. We had fun with ribbons learning all about these concepts as well as our small world of insects. Insects starts with the phonic sound "Ii" which was the sound we were exploring this week. We have also been talking about our school community and we went to visit many of the people who help us at school. Thanks to everyone who came to enjoy our Chinese New Year celebration.
